On 11/4/2022, we had the pleasure of resuming our first annual health fair since the pandemic started. It was such fun and fulfilling to serve Arab and Somali community in Burien city Muslim American Youth Foundation in partnership with Othello Station Pharmacy Fred Hutch Harborview Medical Center UW Medicine Public Health – Seattle & King County GENE TECH. We focused on, hypertension and diabetes screening, cancer screening (breast, colon, lungs), immunizations (covid-19, flu), smoking cessation, and women’s health. Our event included fun activities for kids, distribution of gift bags, and a raffle with valuable gifts such as tablets. Our lovely volunteers did a great job helping out with this event.
