Covid-19 Challenges and hesitation in taking the vaccine

The Iraqi Arab Health Board held a second meeting through zoom discussing people’s hesitation in taking Covid-19 vaccine. We wanted to answer people’s questions and understand their fear and hesitation from taking the vaccine. Also, to clear any confusing or misleading concepts about the vaccine.

The questions asked during the meeting were:

  1. Will Covid-19 Vaccine cause an allergic reaction because I have allergies from antibiotics?
  2. Is it true that Moderna vaccine is better for people with allergies than Pfizer vaccine?
  3. What is the difference between Moderna and Pfizer vaccine?
  4. What is the difference between Johnson & Johnson Janssen vaccine compared to Moderna and Pfizer vaccine?
  5. What are the side effects of Covid-19 vaccines? Does it cause diseases?
  6. Is there higher risk for people who took the vaccine and got infected by Covid-19 three times?
  7. Do we have to take Covid-19 vaccines yearly?
  8. What is the benefit of take the booster shot of the vaccine?
  9. What is the expiration date on the vaccine card ID stand for?
  10. Does Covid-19 cause hair loss?
  11. What type of vitamins, food or antibiotics a person should take to boost our immunity and try to avoid being infected with Covid-19?
  12. Will Covid-19 vaccine have an effect on people with diagnosed asthma?
  13. Is there a long-term effect for taking the vaccine?
  14. Wil the vaccine be given to new-born?
