COVID-19 Health Education Q & A

COVID-19 Health Education Q&A According to the feedback we received from our community members regarding the safety of the vaccine, side effects, ingredients, how it works, and misinformation about the vaccine. We decided to do a live facebook event to address frequently asked questions about Covid-19 vaccine. The timing of this event was very crucial to help our community members to make decisions on their vaccination plans and to clarify a lot of misinformation about the vaccine.  Date Feb 14th, 2021 Time 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM Location FB Live Terms & Conditions – Privacy PolicyContact Us Facebook-f Twitter Envelope [email protected] 3802 NE 155TH ST. COVID-19 Q&A

COVID-19 Q & A Due to peaking of Covid-19 cases during spring through summer 2020, we collaborated with UW medicine to answer frequently asked questions about Covid-19  by community members. Dr. Zainab Al-Tameemi (president of IAHB) and Dr. Carey Jackson (member of the IAHB and medical director of Harborview International Medicine Clinic) hosted Dr. Lynch medical director of Harborview's Infection Control, Antibiotic Stewardship and Employee Health programs, a UW associate professor of Medicine and Allergy and Infectious Diseases to answer some of the most common community members questions:  When we will be able to go back to normal life again (ex: go out, socialize with others without fear)? What are the early/alarming symptoms that impose on patients an immediate visit to their health provider or ER before the situation gets worse? People have been hearing about so many drugs that can treat COVID-19; is there any medicine that can cure COVID-19, or they are all experimental? How responsive are COVID-19 patients to treatment protocols in the U.S hospitals? Can you give an example of what those protocols are?5.Do dietary supplements and vitamins help to prevent catching COVID-19? Can rest and sleep boost immunity and prevent getting the infection? Some community members are still asking, is COVID-19 a reality or fabrication?  Not all patients have the same disease severity, could you please talk more about this? And what could be the contributing factors to the severity of this disease?
