Live Streaming Due to the lack of information about Covid-19 in Arabic, and the spread of misinformation among our community members about Covid-19, our health board members collaborated together to address the previous issue. During our live session with community members we presented information about epidemiology, pathophysiology, prevention, treatment, and mental health aspects of Covid-19. By the end of the presentation, we answered the most frequent questions by community members. The session was organized and led by Dr. Zainab Al-Tameemi (President), who was joined by Dr. Farid Ala’ani, and Dr. Mustafa Mohammad. Flu Clinic We collaborated with the Department of Health in Washington to host a free flu shot clinic in Kent, WA. You will be eligible to receive a $25 gift card if you get the flu shot during the time frame described above. Please do not forget to bring your insurance card when you go to get the vaccine.The flu vaccine is not a COVID-19 vaccine. However, getting the flu vaccine during the pandemic is extremely important because it protects you from getting sick and thus avoiding visiting health facilities during the pandemic to lessen the probability of catching COVID-19. The flu virus infects millions and kills thousands of people each year. The flu is completely different from the common cold. The latter's symptoms last for a shorter time and less severe than the flu. Live Streaming live event on Facebook with community members. We addressed almost all frequently asked questions about the Covid-19 vaccine from A - Z. The event was so successful. We posted announcements a couple of weeks earlier. According to Facebook data, our announcements and live event reached at least 1000 people collectively, and we had 570 people viewed or live streaming. We presented slides that were retrieved from the CDC website, the slides were translated to Arabic, we also used a couple of short videos on youtube.
